For all of us grammer Nazis who get all offended when people use the English language incorrectly, there’s a new blog just for us.

Literally, a Web Log covers press conferences, newspaper reports and other errata that incorrectly use the term “literally”. Like “I literally love this!”, or “I can literally taste that chicken from here.”

Maybe reading this will reduce the urge to go on a grammer rant in the forums literally every time someone sucks at language.

Found a few Tron characters on Twitter last night.

You can now follow all of the minutia in the lives of the Tron characters. MCP issues commands and makes decisions and locks down comm towers. Every once in a while he’ll say something from the movie, and the other characters reply. I enjoy that the name section on their twitter pages are the user names from the movie. Well, except @bitprogram, because he wasn’t a program anyway.

Unfortunantly it looks like it’s just a script that loops every ~20 minutes, so I wouldn’t recommend hitting the follow button, but it’s good fun just to read through. In fact, I think I’m going to watch Tron tonight.

Some millionaire had this built for himself. Out of mahogany, just to remind everyone that he’s rich, I’m sure. But this has got to be the best thing I’ve seen (house-wise) in a while.

It’s like someone took every topic I like and put them on lunchbags.

This dad makes a new lunch bag for his kid every day during his lunch break. Each one is an incredible work of art that ought to be featured in a gallery, but who’s to argue. If I were the kid, I’d want to take them to school.

The topics of his art range from comic books and robots from movies, to bands and comedies. If you were born in the 70’s or 80’s, you’ll get every reference.

Sadly, he is now suffering from my-job-died-with-the-economy-itis. If you have a place for him, please hire him. And make sure to keep him well stocked in brown bags and crayons.

It’s incredible seeing some of the things people make out of lego, including working models of things like engines. It brings back the nostalgia and wonder of our earliest childhood experiences with the bricks. The wonder at all of the possibilities, the things we can create.

But then, I usually just made robots and space ships, and swords that always fell apart, nothing even on par with these masters.

Regardless of semantics, it’s neat. And this is far from the first of it’s kind, but it looks the most robust. My previous experience with a staple-free stapler was a little disappointing. It only worked for stapling 2 or 3 sheets together, and even then the bond was flimsy.

But with this idea by Sherwood Forlee, I mean, just look at the size of that hole! There’s no way it could fail.

Unfortunately, it’s only a concept right now. I guess I’ll have to rely on little shards of metal for now.
